San Francisco Water 1st–Beer 2nd Fun(d)raiser

Two hundred people gathered at San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center on May 7 for the 2nd Annual Water 1st–Beer 2nd Fun(d)raiser. Guests enjoyed dinner, beverages from local breweries, music, a silent auction, and a presentation about the world water crisis and the mission of Water 1st. Nearly $17,000 was raised for safe water and sanitation projects in India, Bangladesh, Honduras, and Ethiopia.

Water 1st gratefully recognizes our event sponsors for their generous support, as well as the Water 1st-Beer 2nd event committee who spread the word and made the event a success: Jenna Peterson, Daniel Won, Devereaux Smith, Nina DeClerq, Eileen Rice, Kristin Lamson, Sara DeRuyck, Jane Husband, Margie Duckstad and Kevin Coluccio.

Most of all, we thank our event guests for their commitment to the work of Water 1st and helping the world’s poor meet their most basic need for safe water.
