Water 1st visited communities in rural Ethiopia in the Spring of 2006 to discuss water issues with community members, and to document the extreme need for safe drinking water in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Water 1st is currently funding a new, clean water and sanitation project in Ilamu Muja, Ethiopia. The people of Bishikiltu are still hoping and waiting for funds to begin work on a water project.
