Dance for Water

Meet Liz Norville, Shelly Sundberg, and Kim Kemp—three moms who like combining fun and fundraising. The trio organizes dances for moms they've known since their eldest children were in elementary school together, and donates the proceeds to selected charities. This year, the gaggle of girl friends danced the night away in support of Water 1st. The dance was at Mt. Baker Community Center in Seattle. More than 100 women attended.

"We are delighted to support Water 1st’s effort to provide clean water, sanitation, and health education to communities worldwide," Liz Norville said. "It is difficult to imagine work with greater ramifications for the well-being of people living in extreme poverty than providing clean water. Seattle has become an important center for dispensing foreign aid, and Water 1st stands out as a model of how to give truly effective and sustainable assistance. It is our pleasure to raise funds for a first-rate nonprofit organization whose work we greatly admire."

The Dance for Water raised more than$1,400 for Water 1st! Special thanks to Liz, Kim, and Shelley and all who attended!
