Expanding to Kenya

Expanding to Kenya
Of the 2 billion people on our planet who lack access to clean water at home, nearly half live in Africa. Investments in water flowing out of a faucet in African homes remain extremely rare.

We have selected two water organizations to partner with in Kenya. Together, we will continue to show the world what is possible in African communities when the burden of water-fetching is in their past.

WATER AT HOME, AT THE TURN OF A TAP

Expanding to Kenya
Water1st projects pipe water to every home, school, clinic, and gathering place in the community, providing 24/7 access to clean water and toilets. Water at the home ensures families have enough water for drinking, handwashing, cooking, washing dishes, laundry, and bathing – essential elements for a healthy life.

Our projects turn time spent into time saved for women and girls, creating opportunities for education, food production, and income generation.

THE GIFT OF WATER = HEALTH, EQUITY, DIGNITY

Expanding to Kenya
"When I turned on the water for the first time,

I couldn't control my emotions."

We are redefining what is possible

Toilets and hand-washing are the most effective tools we have to prevent disease transmission, and these activities are made possible when water supplies are provided at the household-level.

Household water service saves significant time and energy, enabling girls to attain a higher level of education and women to engage in work that increases the family’s economic security.
