On International Women’s Day we applaud the women who literally move mountains to make our water projects a reality.
These are the women who hold their families together with unfathomably scarce resources, and who spend their days carrying every drop of water their families use.
These same women work tirelessly to support our water projects. They dig miles of pipeline trench; serve on water project oversight committees; work as health educators; and support the long-term management of water systems. They will not stop until the next generation has access to safe water—along with the hope and opportunity that water brings.
Thank you for supporting these extraordinary women in Ethiopia, Honduras, and Bangladesh.
And speaking of empowered women, our partner the OL Reign, is giving away #Let’sActTogether tees to anyone who donates $10 or more to our projects. Donate here and get your tee!
Save the date for our annual Carry5 Walk—on May 2, we will walk in solidarity with the millions of women who still spend their days walking for water. Learn more & register
