Tap water is
the great equalizer.

When girls and women are free of the laborious task of water collection, they have time and energy for school, employment, and leadership.

HOUSEHOLD TAP WATER

= GENDER EQUITY

Women and girls are one of the world’s greatest untapped resources.

A woman multiplies the impact of an investment made in her future by extending benefits to her family, her community, and the world around her.

Water piped to household faucets—not a hand pump, kiosk, or water filter—is specifically associated with higher school attendance and enrollment, especially for girls. Educating girls has generational and societal impacts. More educated females pursue better healthcare for themselves and their families, marry later, and prioritize the education of their own children.

A 10% increase in girls’ school attendance increases a country’s GDP by 3%.

End the walk for water for women and girls.
It’s a smart investment.
