Water from Wine

Our annual Water Ambassador Award highlights exceptional examples of the people & institutions that make the work of Water1st possible.

Water from Wine is a nonprofit operating a vineyard & winery in Washington State. 100% of wine sales support clean water. Since 2017, Water from Wine has donated over $525,000 to Water1st. Their award-winning Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon has reached thousands of wine enthusiasts across the country and has transformed thousands of lives around the world.

Water from Wine & The Tucker Family embody compassion, commitment, and generosity. We thank them for their creative approach that essentially grows water projects year after year in their vineyard.

TRUE EQUITY IN WATER ACCESS

Everyone should have piped water and toilets at their homes.

Lack of access to water and toilets is an injustice that overwhelmingly impacts low-income and marginalized communities. Over 3.5 billion people worldwide lack these combined services. Water1st builds community-scale projects that consist of household-level metered, piped-water systems and hygienic toilets which provide numerous health and economic benefits to entire communities. The lives of women and girls are transformed. When they are liberated from the laborious task of water collection, they have time and energy to attend school and make income-generating activities possible.

Our 2022 Give Water Give Life fundraiser will support new projects in Honduras, Bangladesh, Ethiopia and our newest project country, Kenya.
