Kelsey loves soccer and the Seattle Reign FC. After seeing the Reign’s documentary about their trip to Ethiopia with Water1st, Kelsey was inspired to help end the walk for water for Ethiopian girls her age who don’t have time to go to school. Kelsey’s goal was $1,500; she raised over $2,300!
In June, Kelsey along with family and friends celebrated her Bat Mitzvah. We were so inspired by her speech that we wanted to share it with everyone. Kelsey understands that the issue of water is an issue of equality, between rich and poor and men and women. And that the solution is in community and being responsible to each other.
We are extremely proud of Kelsey’s leadership on this issue. Mazel Tov!
