Water from Wine is a non-profit winery and vineyard located in the fabled Horse Heaven Hills region of Washington State in the town of Paterson, just north of the Columbia River. It is surrounded by high profile wineries; Chateau Ste. Michelle is located on one side, Columbia Crest Winery is on the other. Water from Wine was conceived by longtime Washington farmer, Pat Tucker, with the sole goal of partnering with highly-effective water organizations to end the global water crisis.

Tucker dedicated the 6-acre vineyard on his farm in 2013 to make Water from Wine. Tucker then pledged to donate 100% of the revenue from each bottle sold by Water1st to provide funding for international water projects. Through this partnership, each case provides one family in Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Honduras, and Mozambique with clean water and a toilet for life.

In the fall of 2014, family, friends, and community members gathered to harvest the first grapes. Tucker reached out to well-regarded winemaker and long-time friend, Charlie Hoppes, to make the wine. The first harvest yielded 984 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon. Water from Wine, Cabernet Sauvignon retails for $30/bottle or $360/case.
