My name is Sabri Williams. I am a new resident to Seattle, as I just recently marked one year of living in the city. I will be completing a practicum placement, as a student intern, with Water1st. I have my bachelors degree in social work from the University of Kentucky, and I am nearing the completion of my masters degree in social work (from the same university). Prior to beginning my masters program, I completed a service term with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). During my term, I worked on a variety of service projects throughout the Pacific region. Through my employment and practicum placements I have had experience with varying populations including refugees, incarcerated individuals, homeless youth, and individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities. I have also been in many practice settings. I aspire to be a macro practitioner, primarily in international social work. I believe the mission and work of Water1st is greatly in line with my personal and professional philosophies and aspirations. I am excited to begin my practicum placement and I look forward to meeting or working with each student, donor, and member on our team!
